Lydia Blue is a synthesis of Jazz, Blues, Soca and Calypso. Greatly influenced by Billie Holiday, Betty Wright, Dinah Washington,  Ella Fitzgerald, Janet Kay and Jean Adebambo, she sings with the pulse beats of Rhythm & Blues, Jazz-Fusion and Reggae (the root music of her mother land, Jamaica).

 Her artistry flourished in the United Kingdom where she migrated to with her family as a child.                          

Lydia Blue first grouped with Mellow Harmony, worked as a backing vocalist for local artistes and visiting Caribbean calypsonians such as
Prince Unique, Singing Francine and The Mighty Duke. This eventually led to her artistic destiny after being part of the group Graffyx.

Her career as a vocal artiste has made many progressive changes including being backed by her own band Sweet Vibrations throughout London's
premier Jazz and Soca entertainment venues.  She’s not only a singer, but a splendid dancer who entertains her audience with flamboyant
routines that range from Jazz, Lovers Rock expressions through Latin sizzles to Soca, Calypso and Urban Disco fevers.
